Experts discuss how Russian information manipulation targeted Moldova's recent elections—and what Armenia and Ukraine can learn ahead of upcoming votes.

Our last event on November, 13, 2025, offered sharp insights into countering foreign disinformation during major political campaigns. Moldova's recent elections showed a textbook case of Russian information manipulation and interference: from massive mis- and disinformation on social media to cash-for-votes schemes. With Armenia's parliamentary elections coming up in June 2026, and possible elections in Ukraine, strengthening media literacy, securing more resources for debunking, and deepening collaboration with fact-checkers will be essential.
